Eating lentils and other pulses regularly, may help lower your risk for cancer, heart disease and diabetes, according to a study at North Dakota State University. Consuming red meat regularly, on the other hand, has been shown to have a direct link to certain kinds of cancer and may increase the risk of developing heart disease, according to a study published in the “Archives of Internal Medicine” in April 2012. So I have been thinking lately that I want to make “Power Salads” — Salads that would be low fat, so not a lot of dressing but very high protein!
